This production of the retelling of "The Ugly Duckling" was a fun design in which, again, all 6 actors needed to be able to play multiple characters. I designed them all with a camp/retreat base costume. The men were in polos and shorts with converse shoes and the women were in dresses with boots of some sort (With leggings, of course, to allow for optimal movement.) All of the animal pieces where a combination of some sort of hat and an additional piece that turned them into the perspective animals that they played. I kept the Base costumes very white or cream because at one point all of the actors played swans and that also allowed me to keep the fun pops of color in the animal pieces that were applied (giving the children the focal point of the animal they were playing and making it easier to see more than just "the same actor".)
