Costume Design
Shea grew up in the Tampa bay area of Florida.
After attending an arts middle and high school, where he took a costuming class and learned to sew, He then went on to study theatrical costume design and construction in college. Shea Graduated with an Associates from Florida School of the Arts in Palatka Florida, where he won the South Eastern Theatre Conference Undergraduate costume design competition with his design for Clue the Musical. He then was recruited to study in the BFA program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA under the guidance of working Broadway designer Toni Leslie-James.
Shea has since worked for various theater and opera companies up and down the east coast. With jobs from Costume designing to shop managing, all the way down to dressing shows.
She moved out to Los Angeles in the early 2020s to begin a career in the entertainment industry. He has been working in the local 705 costume union for half a decade now at a costume shop called Muto Little. He has had the honor to help sew costumes for: Lady Gaga, Karol G, Doja Cat, Lionel Richie, John Legend. Sheas millinery work has graced the Pyer Moss fashion show in summer 2021, and has worked on movies like; Guardians of the galaxy vol. 3, Black panther 2, Glass onion: a knives out mystery, Hold your breath, and countless more.
Shea has also had the pleasure of designing and constructing drag costumes for winner of season 2 of Ru Pauls Drag Race All Stars Alaska, and countless other personal Drag Clients.
He cannot wait to see where his drive and creative passion will take him next.
